{"id":161679,"date":"2019-06-13T18:32:08","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T18:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/stella-mccartney-president-lukoff-leaves-to-join-scotch-soda\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T14:01:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T14:01:36","slug":"stella-mccartney-president-lukoff-leaves-to-join-scotch-soda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/stella-mccartney-president-lukoff-leaves-to-join-scotch-soda\/","title":{"rendered":"Stella McCartney president Lukoff leaves to join Scotch &#038; Soda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Longstanding Stella McCartney president Frederick Lukoff<\/strong> has quit the luxury brand to join Dutch brand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/intelligence\/scotch-soda\">Scotch &amp; Soda<\/a> as CEO.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lukoff <strong>oversaw Stella McCartney's buyout of the 50% stake<\/strong> in the company controlled by luxury group Kering last year, and had been with the company for a decade.<\/p>\n<p>He <strong>joins Scotch &amp; Soda on 1 September<\/strong> and his appointment follows the news earlier this year that the company's current,\u00a0Dirk-Jan Stoppelenburg, would be stepping into the role of chairman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am absolutely delighted to be joining Scotch &amp; Soda and working together with the team to <strong>continue the international success story of this amazing Dutch fashion brand<\/strong>,\u201d Lukoff, who was born in Holland, said.<\/p>\n<p>Stoppelenburg added: \u201cI am delighted to announce the appointment of Frederick as my successor. Frederick has built <strong>a highly successful career in fashion, demonstrating his strong understanding of brands<\/strong> and creativity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scotch &amp; Soda was founded in 1985 and has <strong>250 owned stores and 8,000 doors globally.<\/strong> Its sales are around \u20ac325m, around twice that of Stella McCartney.<\/p>\n<p>Lukoff joined Stella McCartney as CEO in February 2009.
