{"id":161413,"date":"2019-05-03T13:01:20","date_gmt":"2019-05-03T13:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/graduate-fashion-week-introduces-the-talents-of-tomorrow\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T13:56:17","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T13:56:17","slug":"graduate-fashion-week-introduces-the-talents-of-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/graduate-fashion-week-introduces-the-talents-of-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Fashion Week introduces the talents of tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) has just <strong>revealed its latest Talents of Tomorrow campaign<\/strong> which includes seven influencers and two models.<!--more-->This year\u2019s campaign kicked off with the annual photoshoot where the final entries were shot under the creative direction of fashion photographer Erika Astrid and stylist Jennifer Mertens.<\/p>\n<p>The students\u2019 designs who were selected to debut in the photoshoot showed <strong>a range of diverse influences and unique styles<\/strong>, some focusing heavily on ethically sourced materials, using sustainable methods and recycled pieces to create eco-conscious designs, while others focused on unique methods of design, such as laser-etched wood detailing.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_118717\" style=\"width: 693px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-118717\" class=\"wp-image-118717 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/wp-content\/uploads\/LOOK-11-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-118717\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LOOK 11- Demi Hardy\u2013 Southampton Solent University<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The designs include aspiring designers from British GFW member universities Kingston University, Nottingham Trent University, University of East London, Edinburgh College of Art and Leeds Arts University. Accademia Costume &amp; Moda, Italy, was the international school to have a student selected for the shoot and included in the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>A highlight of this year\u2019s campaign has been the inclusion of final year students in the photoshoot, from shooting behind the scenes videos to hair and makeup, and styling. In addition to their involvement, <strong>seven influencers and two professional models<\/strong>, including <em>In The Frow<\/em>\u2019s Victoria Magrath, <em>Style and Stylus<\/em>\u2019 Rashpal Amrit and <em>The Evening Standard\u2019<\/em>s Chloe Street, <strong>were invited to come together to show their support for the Talent of Tomorrow<\/strong> and be photographed in the garments selected by the teams on the day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_118718\" style=\"width: 693px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-118718\" class=\"wp-image-118718 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/wp-content\/uploads\/LOOK-13-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-118718\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LOOK 13- Jogaile Zairyte\u2013 University of Portsmouth<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Martyn Roberts, Managing &amp; Creative Director of Graduate Fashion Week, said: \u201cThis year\u2019s work is innovative, inspiring and truly unique. <strong>The high quality of work is portrayed in this shoot is just a snippet of the array of talent that will be on show at Graduate Fashion Week.<\/strong> We look forward to seeing the collections used in the campaign on the runway in June.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Graduate Fashion Week is a charitable organisation which supports the largest showcase of BA fashion in the world with over 60 of the most influential and inspiring UK and international universities and colleges on show.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":53,"featured_media":134265,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[9763,5,9762,6,13678],"tags":[14446,10355,10798,14486,14487],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
