The Cambridge Satchel Company has opened the doors of its latest store on Neal Street, Seven Dials, as the brand celebrates its 10th anniversary.<\/strong><\/p>\n It marks something of a homecoming for the British bag-maker, which opened its first ever store on Shorts Gardens in Seven Dials in 2013.<\/p>\n The store's interior was designed by an in-house team at the business, which was founded by entrepreneur Julie Deane and her mother Freda with just \u00a3600<\/strong> in capital back in 2008.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Deane, who received an OBE for her services to entrepreneurship in 2014, said of the move: \u201cThis milestone birthday of 10 years was something special to us - it was a chance to see how far we\u2019ve grown from our first store on Shorts Gardens in Seven Dials. <\/strong><\/p>\n \"We\u2019ve had the opportunity to trial other ventures in London, which has shown the virtue of our original location. The cobbled streets, Victorian lamps and unique character in Seven Dials<\/strong> really speak the language of our brand and we are so pleased to come home.\u201d<\/p>\n The Cambridge Satchel Company has further stores in Cambridge, Brighton, Edinburgh, Bicester Village and a factory shop in Leicester.<\/strong> It also has wholesale stockists around the globe.<\/p>\n It is the latest in a line-up of innovative brands to open in Seven Dials; other recent arrivals include direct-to-consumer luggage brand Away and disruptive hosiery and shapewear brand Heist.<\/p>\n Commenting on the return of the company to the area,\u00a0Addy Williams, Retail Portfolio Manager at landlord Shaftesbury said:\u00a0\u201cTo welcome\u00a0The\u00a0Cambridge Satchel Company\u00a0back\u00a0to\u00a0Seven Dials, after serving as an incubator for the\u00a0company\u00a0in its establishment ten years ago,\u00a0really captures the strong sense of community we offer to brands.<\/strong> This opening reflects our\u00a0strategy of building a rich mix of boutiques and a bespoke experience for visitors, in the heart of\u00a0the bustling West End.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":133659,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6,10494],"tags":[14014,13383,14157],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
