John Lyttle, former chief operating officer at Primark, has officially taken over as CEO of fashion fashion etail group Boohoo.<\/strong><\/p>\n As a result of Lyttle's arrival, former joint CEOs Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane have moved into new positions.<\/strong> Kamani becomes group executive chairman and group co-founder while Kane becomes executive director, as previously announced.\u00a0Lyttle's appointment was announced last September.<\/p>\n Chairman Peter Williams has also officially stood down<\/strong> and the Manchester group has said the\u00a0search process to recruit two new independent non-executive directors is underway and progressing well.<\/p>\n Williams, a former CEO of Selfridges and chairman of ASOS, has teamed up with Superdry co-founder Julian Dunkerton to support his bid to be returned to the board of the fashion retailer. Dunkerton has requisitioned a shareholder meeting on 2 April to seek his own reinstatement to the company and the installation of Williams as a director.
