{"id":160924,"date":"2019-02-07T21:11:23","date_gmt":"2019-02-07T21:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/cambridge-satchel-company-to-open-new-london-flagship-as-brand-looks-east\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T13:55:05","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T13:55:05","slug":"cambridge-satchel-company-to-open-new-london-flagship-as-brand-looks-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/cambridge-satchel-company-to-open-new-london-flagship-as-brand-looks-east\/","title":{"rendered":"Cambridge Satchel Company to open new London flagship as brand looks East"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cambridge Satchel Company is to open a new London flagship store and expand its online presence in China as the brand celebrates its 10th birthday.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Founder Julie Deane said the business was entering a second decade with<strong> \u201cclear direction, new collections, trade partners and store openings\u201d<\/strong> to mark 10 years since she started the business with just \u00a3600.<\/p>\n<p>The British company has secured <strong>a new site on Neal Street in London\u2019s Seven Dials,<\/strong> which will also serve as its head office.<\/p>\n<p>Staff working at its previous London store in Covent Garden, which closed its doors last month, will be<strong> transferred to the new outlet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cambridge Satchel Company\u2019s <strong>first ever shop opened on nearby Shorts Gardens in 2013,<\/strong> but the business quickly outgrew the premises and moved to James Street in Covent Garden.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_113337\" style=\"width: 2387px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-113337\" class=\"size-full wp-image-113337\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/wp-content\/uploads\/embedded222589762.jpg\" alt=\"Cambridge Satchel Company \" width=\"2377\" height=\"3500\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-113337\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Julie Deane receives her OBE<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Deane said: \u201cWe have chosen Seven Dials as the location for our new flagship shop as <strong>we believe this is where we feel most at home.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new Neal Street flagship shop is midway between our first home and our previous James Street location, and we believe this is exactly where we should be.
