{"id":160308,"date":"2018-08-09T21:07:19","date_gmt":"2018-08-09T21:07:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/selfridges-completes-accessories-hall-revamp-with-uk-largest-optical-destination\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T13:53:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T13:53:31","slug":"selfridges-completes-accessories-hall-revamp-with-uk-largest-optical-destination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/selfridges-completes-accessories-hall-revamp-with-uk-largest-optical-destination\/","title":{"rendered":"Selfridges completes accessories hall revamp with UK largest optical destination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Selfridges has <strong>completed the major revamp of the accessories hall at its London Oxford Street<\/strong> flagship store by opening the UK's largest optical destination.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The <strong>4,000 sq ft optical destination is the fourth and final stage of its multimillion revamp<\/strong> of its accessories hall, which is now said to be the largest in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Some<strong> 2,200 eyewear styles from 50 brands are stocked in the new area<\/strong>, located near to the new Duke Street entrance. Around two-thirds of the styles are sunglasses but there is a major focus on optical styles and Selfridges is also offering eye examinations from a qualified optometrist using state-of-the-art technology.<\/p>\n<p>The area features some new brands to Selfridges, such as\u00a0<strong>Fak by Fak and Project Produkt,<\/strong> while others, such as\u00a0<strong>Grey Ant, Retrosuperfuture and Thiery Lasry<\/strong>, have created exclusive styles for the department store.<\/p>\n<p>A central feature is a new, dedicated <strong>Chanel area selling a special edit of sunglasses and optical frames, featuring\u00a0exclusive, vintage, limited-edition and one-off items<\/strong>, while other big names to anchor the hall include Gucci, Prada, Dior and Linda Farrow.<\/p>\n<p>Also unveiled today was\u00a0<strong>the\u00a0Progressive Edit, a\u00a0\"cutting-edge edit of handbags\",<\/strong> small leather goods and other items. Labels include Medea Sisters, Nita Suri and Oberkampf. Dover Street Market has also curated a dedicated area for men's and women's fine jewellery.
