{"id":160187,"date":"2018-07-03T21:45:34","date_gmt":"2018-07-03T21:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/manolo-blahnik-to-open-first-ever-mens-store-in-burlington-arcade\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T13:53:13","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T13:53:13","slug":"manolo-blahnik-to-open-first-ever-mens-store-in-burlington-arcade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/manolo-blahnik-to-open-first-ever-mens-store-in-burlington-arcade\/","title":{"rendered":"Manolo Blahnik to open first ever men's store in Burlington Arcade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Legendary footwear designer Manolo Blahnik is set to <strong>open his first ever dedicated men's boutique<\/strong> in London's Burlington Arcade this Friday.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The designer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/fashion\/manolo-blahnik-opens-menswear-store-in-burlington-arcade-mayfair-a3877776.html\">told the<em> Evening Standard<\/em> <\/a>that new store, which occupies <strong>a 411 sq ft extension of the designer's original Burlington Arcade store<\/strong>, was \"tiny but fabulous\".\u00a0The men's range features basket weave loafers and sandals, suede brogues in an array of bright colours, desert boots, Chelsea boots and car shoes among other styles.<\/p>\n<p>One item that is <strong>certainly not included is trainers<\/strong>, which, despite being on-trend are deplored by Blahnik who dismissed them as \"horrible things!\".<\/p>\n<p>The men's boutique took over <strong>a space previously occupied by pen retailer Penfriend<\/strong> next to the original Manolo Blahnik store, which runs to around 1,000 sq ft.
