{"id":160121,"date":"2018-06-12T16:07:56","date_gmt":"2018-06-12T16:07:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/foot-locker-opens-its-largest-store-in-europe-at-liverpool-one\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T13:53:03","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T13:53:03","slug":"foot-locker-opens-its-largest-store-in-europe-at-liverpool-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/foot-locker-opens-its-largest-store-in-europe-at-liverpool-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Foot Locker opens its largest store in Europe at Liverpool ONE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sports retailer Foot Locker has opened <strong>its largest store in Europe at Liverpool ONE<\/strong>, which it describes as the \"pinnacle expression of the brand\".<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Set over <strong>21,000 sq ft and two floors,<\/strong> the store on South John Street, has been designed to inspire youth culture and build communities and will be offering elevated in-store experiences and events.<\/p>\n<p>In homage to the city\u2019s vibrant cultural scene, Foot Locker has <strong>commissioned Liverpool artist, Stephen Chan, to create a bespoke piece of artwork<\/strong>, which takes pride of place at the front of the store.\u00a0The partnership between Foot Locker and Chan sets the tone for how the store will interact with the local cultural community, providing a platform to promote and support Liverpool creatives and their work.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_108774\" style=\"width: 694px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-108774\" class=\"wp-image-108774 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/Liverpool-ONE_Footlocker_3-e1528819436543-684x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"Foot Locker\" width=\"684\" height=\"1024\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-108774\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stephen Chan's artwork<\/p><\/div>\n<p>To celebrate the launch, Foot Locker partnered last night with local style-savvy MC and MiC LOWRY band member, Kaine Ofoeme, to host an evening that featured <strong>live performances from him and his band,<\/strong> and other Liverpool acts including Atlantic Records\u2019 new signing, Tay\u00e0, and Radio 1Xtra's DJ Coco.<\/p>\n<p>The launch event also featured <strong>fresh trims by Luke\u2019s Barbers,<\/strong> which will run as an in-store pop up, open to the public until Friday 15\u00a0June.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the new store,\u00a0Nick Jones, Vice President and General Manager, Foot Locker Europe\u00a0said: \u201cThe new store is <strong>the ultimate destination for sneaker fans in Liverpool<\/strong> and a great platform for the city\u2019s many creative talents. Liverpool has such an incredible cultural history and scene that it\u2019s the perfect destination to lead the way for the future of Foot Locker stores.
