Staff will all be offered alternative employment at its\u00a0<strong>new store in Bracknell<\/strong>, approximately 10 miles away, which will open this autumn.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Mark Fenwick said the decision to close Windsor \"had been <strong>particularly difficult\u00a0for the company<\/strong>, the family and me personally, as we have been committed to serving the people of Windsor for over 30 years.\"<\/p>\n<p>\"We have always seen Windsor as a perfect Fenwick town, where our particularly fashion orientated, specialist store offer would thrive. Unfortunately we were unable to find a suitable alternative location,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Its new Bracknell store will be located in <strong>The Lexicon development<\/strong> of the newly regenerated town centre. Covering<strong>\u00a080,000 sq ft<\/strong> it will stock brands such a<strong>s Michael Kors,\u00a0Coach, Kate Spade, Max Mara, Armani and Hugo Boss,<\/strong> as well as a denim studio and shoe emporium. Beauty brands will include Charlotte Tilbury, MAC and Jo Malone.<\/p>\n<p>Around 80 jobs will be created at the new store, which was designed by retail consultancy\u00a0HMKM.<\/p>\n<p>As well as its flagship on Bond Street, London, Fenwick has stores in Newcastle, Brent Cross, Canterbury, Colchester, Tunbridge Wells and York. It also owns the Bentalls store in Kingston upon Thames. Earlier this year it announced the closure of its Leicester store.<\/p>\n<p>The business was founded in Newcastle by <strong>John James Fenwick in 1882<\/strong>. In February of this year former <strong>Co-op chief executive Richard Pennycook<\/strong> became the first non-Fenwick family member to lead the group.
