Woolrich International announces key new appointments

Tom Bottomley
20 November 2019

As part of Woolrich International’s development strategy – following L-Gam’s majority stake acquisition of the company – the brand has appointed a new general manager of global direct-to-consumer and digital accounts, and an export sales director.

Federico Manno joins Woolrich from VF Corporation, where he was ecommerce and digital marketing director at The North Face EMEA. Manno will be focused on developing the brand’s physical and digital direct-to-consumer business as well as digital key accounts globally.

Gaefano Coccopalmeri, who has held senior positions at Max Mara, La Perla, and Bally, has joined as sales director of export, focusing on the Scandinavian, Eastern European, Russian, and Asian markets. He was also previously at VF Corporation, as global sales director distributors and travel retail at Napapijri.

Woolrich International named Stefano Saccone as its new CEO in May. He was the first to jump ship from VF Corporation, where most recently he held the role of vice president and general manager of Vans EMEA. Saccone says both the new appointments are “central to expanding Woolrich’s presence and growth globally.”

Luxembourg private equity firm L-Gam, the investment fun for Liechtenstein’s royal family, bought a majority stake in US company Woolrich International in September 2018, in a move that was described as a “further step in the globalisation process of the brand.”
