Wonderland and Man About Town founder launches new fashion magazine
Huw Gwyther, best known for founding both Wonderland and Man About Town magazines, is launching a new ‘digital first’ and bi-annual print magazine called IMAGINE, with a focus on fashion, film, music, art and design.
Working with some of the most exciting photographers, stylists and tastemakers in the world, the first print issue is 292 pages and features a huge line-up of names and multiple covers, while exclusive video interviews will be available on the IMAGINE website.
Gwyther, who has a reputation for spotlighting talent ahead of the curve and who originally got investment for Wonderland on the first season of Dragons' Den in 2004, told TheIndustry.fashion: "IMAGINE will have a huge amount of fashion content; fashion photography in the printed magazine, written interviews and videos on our website. We’ve shot men’s and women’s fashion on both celebrities and models so far.
"We will create further fashion content in the future such as interviewing designers - this will be a regular focus. Issue one, for example, includes a conversation between actor Charlie Walker and American fashion designer Zac Posen.
"I studied womenswear at Central Saint Martins and fashion remains extremely important to me - always has been, always will be! The real target market for IMAGINE is really everyone who is interested in fashion, celebrity, popular culture in general, music, film, tv, and so on.
"It’s not about a narrow target age demographic - I’m 48 and I’m just as interested in fashion and pop culture right now as I was when I was a teenager in the 90s. So, it’s more about targeting people who are curious and interested in all aspects of popular culture, as well as those who are creating it. Providing inspiration is core to what we are building at IMAGINE.
"I’m incredibly proud of our launch issue - I’d definitely buy it. Plus, it’s only £10! I’m very optimistic that it will connect with people who are curious, creative and seeking inspiration."

The first print issue features advertisers including Jimmy Choo, Omega and Cutler and Gross, and there are special covers in partnership with ASOS. One of which features UK K-Pop group DearALICE, while there is also a shoot with British actor Dylan Llewellyn as part of the ASOS partnership.
The line-up of digital and print covers "spotlight some of the most exciting emerging talents in global entertainment", including Hollywood breakout and Monster star Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Mexican actor, singer, and author Eiza González, and British rising star and "Heartstopper scene-stealer" Yasmin Finney.
Issue One is available to order globally via imaginemagazine.co and through a carefully curated network of international stockists, including magCulture, Magma, Dover Street Market, Do You Read Me?!, Charlotte Street Magazines, Shreeji Newsagents, Good News, Somerset House Shop, The Broken Arm, Comme des Garçons Trading Museum and selected newsstands from today, 28 May. Issue two will launch in September 2025.
