Womenswear brand Kitri to close after nine years
London-based womenswear brand Kitri has confirmed it will close “in the coming weeks” after nine years in business.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the brand said: “After nine incredible years, I’m sad to share that Kitri will be closing its doors in the coming weeks.”
The company said the decision had not been made lightly, adding that it had explored “every possible avenue”, but ultimately felt closure was “the only responsible path forward”.
“Building Kitri has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. What started as a small independent brand grew into something far bigger than I could have ever imagined - worn and loved by women around the world, supported by an incredible community, and brought to life by an immensely talented team,” the post continued.
“To our customers: thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years and letting Kitri be part of your lives.
“To our team, partners and collaborators: thank you for your creativity, hard work and belief in the brand. We could never have done this without you.”
Founded in 2017 by Haeni Kim, Kitri is a London-based independent fashion label known for its colourful, limited-run womenswear collections and focus on high-quality statement pieces at accessible price points.
As the business winds down operations, Kitri said customers will still be able to shop archive styles and its final Spring collection at reduced prices. The brand added that delivery and returns will continue as normal during this period.
“Thank you for the last nine years and I hope these pieces continue to bring you joy for years to come,” the statement concluded.
