Why LVMH's Delphine Arnault is being recognised at The Fashion Awards 2025
Delphine Arnault’s impact on fashion has never been limited to boardrooms or balance sheets. In fact, her unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent has earned her the Special Recognition Award at The Fashion Awards 2025.
The British Fashion Council today announced that Arnault, currently Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, will be recognised at the prestigious award ceremony held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 1 December. The accolade celebrates not just her leadership at Dior and LVMH, but her commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent.
Arnault’s influence is visible through the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, which she launched in 2014. Over the past decade, it has spotlighted emerging talent including Marques’ Almeida and Wales Bonner. But her contribution goes further. Under her guidance, Dior Men’s has supported the BFC Foundation MA Scholarship, providing tuition, living costs and mentorship to UK-based menswear students.
"Delphine Arnault is one of the most visionary and influential leaders in global fashion," said BFC Chief Executive Laura Weir. "Her belief in talent as the lifeblood of this industry has transformed countless careers and continues to shape fashion’s global future."
Arnault added: "I am truly honoured to receive this emblematic award, which highlights the importance of supporting young talents who will define the fashion and creativity of tomorrow.
From her early days at McKinsey to steering Dior through its most commercially and creatively successful periods, Arnault has consistently merged strategic rigour with cultivating creativity.
Last year, the Special Recognition Award went to Nan Goldin and Gucci for their We Will Always Have London campaign, Dame Margaret Barbour for her work with Barbour, and Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou for her contributions to creativity and the fashion industry.
