Whistles Managing Director Helen Williamson retires

Whistles managing director, Helen Williamson is to take early retirement at the end of the month, after nearly six years with the retailer.

Williamson started at Whistles as commercial director in 2015, before becoming brand director a year later. She was appointed as Whistles’ managing director later in 2018.

Williamson has previously held the role of buying and merchandising director at Hobbs and Ted Baker.

Managing director of Hobbs, Justin Hampshire will take up the role of managing director across both Hobbs and Whistles.

In January 2019, Hampshire joined Hobbs as managing director, after previously holding the role as managing director at Whistles from September 2016.

Hampshire has also held roles as chief financial officer at Whistles, chief operating officer at Crew Clothing and chief financial officer at Marchpole.
