Augmented reality technology company Vyking has launched Flex, a digital app that will allow digital collectibles creators to display their collections in AR.

By combining augmented reality technology with digital fashion ownership, Flex enables creators and collectors to mint, collect and trade digital fashion collections such as NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

The app leverages Vyking’s proprietary AR try-on technology, which has already been adopted by some of the leading brands in the fashion industry, including Adidas, Louis Vuitton, and Crocs.

Thibault Marion de Procé, Vyking’s co-Founder and Chief Product Officer said: "The world around us is changing rapidly as the pace of culture continues to move in lock-step with that of technology. We at Vyking saw a unique opportunity to leverage our proven AR technology that powers AR experiences for leading brands into a user and creator-centric application that combines real ownership and AR with the expanding world of digital fashion. flex is a game-changer for digital fashion and we are thrilled to play a part in bringing this creative revolution to life."

The company added that it is reinventing fashion retail by "creating a collaborative space at the intersection of creativity, 3-D design, blockchain and AR for creators and global brands alike."

Flex will also launch its debut sneaker collection in collaboration with digital fashion and 3D design brands including French AR artist Johwska, footwear designer Finn Rush-Taylor and French creative agency Monument. The collection will be issued through leading digital art and collectibles NFT marketplace Rarible.
