Visualsoft promotes from within for new CEO
North East-based e-commerce agency Visualsoft, which was founded in 1998 and has supported some of the UK’s most successful online retailers, has appointed long-term employee Chris Fletcher as its new CEO.
Fletcher, who has been at Visualsoft for nine years, previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer and prior to that was VP of Operations.
Before joining Visualsoft, Fletcher held the position of Online Trading Manager for two years at outdoor apparel brand Berghaus. He also spent almost eight years at North East furniture retailer Barker and Stonehouse until March 2012, the last five of which he was IT & E-ommerce Manager.
Over the last nine years at Visualsoft, Fletcher has been "instrumental in shaping the agency into an e-commerce powerhouse", gaining an "unrivalled level" of experience and insights into the UK’s online retail market.
Visualsoft Chairman, Simon Ward, said: "Chris’s passion, expertise, and vision make him the ideal person to guide the business into this exciting new chapter, and with a clear commitment to innovation, team development, and client success, Visualsoft is poised for a breakthrough year in 2025."
Speaking on his appointment, Fletcher added: "Looking ahead, my vision is clear. I want to strengthen our position as the UK’s leading platform-agnostic eCommerce agency, expand our expertise, and continue delivering exceptional results for the brands we work with.
"This builds on the significant progress we made in 2024, including our exciting new partnership with Shopify, which reinforces our commitment to driving growth and innovation across the e-commerce space.
"We’ve also made substantial investments in our team, ensuring we have the best talent in place to support our clients, and this focus will remain central as we move forward in 2025 and beyond."
With over 300 employees, Visualsoft is growing alongside its clients’ online success. From fashion and footwear to jewellery, pet care, home furnishings and sports, Visualsoft’s multi-channel, multi-platform approach, including its own in-house platform, is working with brands "to build an exceptional customer experience that keeps them coming back".
Whether retailers are looking to expand into new markets, improve their checkout experience, add new ways for consumers to pay, or personalise their store experience, Visualsoft’s offering brings every aspect of e-commerce into one place, "tailored to their individual demands, designed for online success".
