Vintage marketplace Farly has announced the launch of its new resale platform on 11 November. The sustainable fashion marketplace is a virtual flea market that allows users to shop and share their style.

Described by the brand, the platform is built for fans of vintage style shopping and slow fashion. It hopes to rewrite online shopping, bringing fun and careful curation to the experience.

Virtual shop windows will be displayed alongside mood boards to inspire those looking for preloved items.

The UK tech startup encourages independent sellers, small retailers, artists and curators to use the platform's features. Users can design their own shop windows by quickly uploading images, using editing tools to sharpen, resize, crop, clip and tweak their pieces before publishing.

The launch also kick-starts the use of Farly Points, which is a reward mechanism for users to earn points when promoting sales from items curated in their windows. The points allow users to monetize their windows, creating significant discounts as they build their profile on the platform.

Farleigh Hungerford, Founder of Farly, said: "As the world prepares for the COP26 summit this November, the importance of climate change and looking after our planet has been more prominent than ever.

"Farly only encourages the sale of vintage, pre-loved and second hand items and we really encourage sellers to have sustainability at heart, from packaging to thinking about the origin of the product all the way to the end of the items’ lifecycle."
