Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Ridley Scott’s "House of Gucci" film this Friday, 26 November, George at Asda – in association with its sustainability partner Preloved Vintage – has today hidden 30 vintage Gucci pieces in the mix of vintage clothing in some Asda stores for customers to find and buy.

Preloved Vintage Wholesale Ltd specialise is supplying George at Asda with handpicked clothing from the 1950’s through to the early 2000’s, an initiative that was introduced to 50 Asda stores, including in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Brighton and Edinburgh earlier this year as part of the retailer’s "George for Good" commitment.

However, nobody knows which stores will have the hidden women’s and men’s Gucci gems, and the hunt to find them will be fuelled by teasers on social media encouraging customers to sift through the vintage selection at their local Asda for the chance to purchase a piece of designer history for as little as £12. Fashionistas across the country will be on high alert to seek out some of the fashion houses iconic shirts, jackets and dresses.

Lauren Mallins from George at Asda said: “Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked Preloved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us.”

Steve Lynam, Managing Director of Preloved Vintage Wholesale Ltd, added: “Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket.
