TheIndustry.fashion LIVE: Central London shoppers on retail's re-opening

TheIndustry.fashion hit central London today to talk to the shoppers who had come out to buy fashion on the first day of the re-opening of non-essential retailers after the COVID-19 lockdown.
We found a largely young crowd who were queuing outside sports stores and branches of Zara and Primark. No one seemed fazed by the new safety procedures and many had continued to buy during lockdown.
Sports Direct appeared to have a good day with shoppers drawn to its sale and its promise of 50% off for NHS workers.
Luxury department stores were much quieter but shoppers in them relished the chance to shop without the crowds.
