Victoria's Secret unveils latest campaign featuring trans and plus-size models

Lingerie giant Victoria's Secret, which has spent recent months working on a total image overhaul, has unveiled its new Body by Victoria spring 2020 campaign.

The new campaign is notably more diverse than past ads in terms of casting, with older, curvier and transgender women chosen, as well as women of colour.

The campaign imagery stars original Angels Daniela Pestova, 49, and Helena Christensen, 51, with the latter also serving as the campaign’s photographer. The pair first began working with Victoria's Secret 22 years ago.

Valentina Sampaio, the company’s first openly transgender Angel who joined in 2019, is also included in the campaign.

The collection includes memory fit lining, reimagined with new silhouettes designed to fit every lifestyle. Featuring hues of pink, neutrals, blues and purples, the collection is aimed at cross-generational consumers.

Last month Victoria’s Secret announced it is being sold, with its owner L Brands revealing private equity firm Sycamore Brands will buy 55% of the brand for approximately £407 million.

Once the deal is complete, Les Wexner, who has run the business for five decades, will step down.
