Victoria Beckham welcomes former Dior director as new CEO
Victoria Beckham has appointed Sybille Darricarrère Lunel as Chief Executive Officer of her London-based fashion brand, following the exit of Marie Leblanc last year.
Darricarrère Lunel will join Victoria Beckham on 1 July, taking over from acting CEO Ralph Toledano, according to WWD. She will be based at the brand's London headquarters.
Commenting on the news, Darricarrère Lunel told the publication that she has always admired the Victoria Beckham brand's "feminine, elegant, and modern style, which empowers women".
She added: "I have a deep admiration for Victoria's work, her sincerity, her creative vision, and her attention to detail. I look forward to collaborating with the talented teams who have achieved remarkable success alongside her, as we begin building exciting new chapters together."
Darricarrère Lunel most recently served as Global Business Unit Director for Leather Goods at Christian Dior Couture. She first joined the luxury house in 2022 as Global Head of Marketing.
Prior to this, she was General Buying & Merchandising Director at Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette across womenswear, menswear, accessories, lingerie and kids. She also previously worked for The Kooples for more than five years.
Ralph Toledano, who remains Chairman of Victoria Beckham, said: "Darricarrère Lunel's entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm and intelligence immediately spoke to me when we first met. Her career to date, and her understanding of product, make her the perfect Chief Executive Officer for our brand."
The news comes after Beckham appointed Lauren Edelman as CEO of her beauty business earlier this year, replacing Katia Beauchamp, who announced her departure after more than two years in the role.
