Victoria Beckham to receive OBE

Victoria Beckham is to receive an OBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours list, which will be officially published on Saturday.

It is understood that Beckham shared the news with her family over the Christmas holiday, according to the Daily Mail, but has not officially announced the news publicly in accordance with Honours' protocol.

Beckham is being recognised for building her fashion empire as well as her philanthropic work, which includes a role as UNAIDS goodwill ambassador.

The honour comes 13 years after her husband, David Beckham, received his OBE and on the back of a successful year for the fashion designer who branched into beauty with a sell-out collaboration with Estée Lauder. It is believed she will continue the beauty collaboration with Estée Lauder while working on her own skincare line with a niche brand.
