Vestiaire hosts Rosie Huntington-Whiteley closet sale, fundraising for King’s charity
Vestiaire Collective, the pre-loved luxury fashion e-tailer, is partnering with British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on a closet sale to raise funds for The King’s Trust UK.
At 5 pm on 2 May, shoppers will have a chance to purchase pieces from Huntington-Whiteley’s wardrobe. The closet sale, which includes 40 minimalist-coded pieces, will feature items such as sculptural Khaite knits, sharp tailoring from Celine and timeless separates from Gucci.
Net proceeds will go directly to The King’s Trust UK, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop essential skills to succeed in life, education, and employment.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley said: "I’m excited to partner with Vestiaire Collective on this initiative to support The King’s Trust UK. Vestiaire Collective is the leading platform for circular fashion, making it the perfect place to give these pieces a second life in a way that’s both stylish and sustainable.
"Fashion has always been a meaningful part of my career, and I love that this collaboration allows me to extend that impact while contributing to a cause that helps young people build their futures."
Vestiaire Collective has increasingly leaned into celebrity closet sales as part of its strategy to engage new audiences and further its mission of reshaping fashion consumption. It has previously partnered with the likes of Paris Hilton, Jessica Chastain, Laura Dern, Chloe Fineman and more.
Co-founder and President of Vestiaire Collective, Fanny Moizant, commented: "This initiative aligns with our commitment to disrupt traditional fashion consumption habits. Through high-impact partnerships with individuals who share our values, we aim to inspire a global movement towards responsible luxury shopping."
As part of its efforts to reshape retail, last month, the company launched a Resale Buying Guide for SS25, described as a "comprehensive analysis of the second-hand landscape today". Leveraging historical data and proprietary analytics, the guide identifies the brands, pieces and key trends driving the resale market for the season.
