Versace unveils Onitsuka Tiger footwear collaboration at Milan Fashion Week
Italian fashion house Versace presented a new footwear collaboration with Japanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger during its SS26 presentation at Milan Fashion Week on Friday 26 September.
It was the debut collection for Versace’s new Chief Creative Officer, Dario Vitale, and the dual branded footwear focused on Onitsuka Tiger’s iconic ‘Tai-Chi’ shoe, crafted at the brand’s own factory in Japan, utilising carefully selected Italian materials.
Fusing Italian and Japanese craftsmanship, notable features include double stitching on the Onitsuka Tiger stripes and Versace’s Medusa symbol in studded embellishments on the tongue.
The shoe uppers have been treated with a washing process and buffing to achieve a vintage texture.
A total of eight footwear looks were revealed, including tan leather loafers, crafted in Italy, with Onitsuka Tiger stripes on the side.
The release is scheduled for spring 2026 when the shoes will be available at flagship Versace stores worldwide as well as on the Versace website. A retail price is yet to be revealed.
Earlier this year, Versace was acquired by Prada for $1.375 billion (£1.09 billion) from Capri Holdings, uniting two of the biggest designer fashion labels.
