Vera Wang enters 'new era' launching ready-to-wear line in UK
Bridal label Vera Wang is entering a new phase of its evolution, unveiling a debut ready-to-wear line for the UK and European markets with the launch of its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection.
Introduced through private press and buyer appointments in Paris this January, alongside Paris Fashion Week, the AW26 collection marks Vera Wang's first dedicated move beyond bridal, since its launch in 1990, into modern ready-to-wear for Europe.
Long celebrated for redefining modern bridal, Wang now turns her focus to everyday dressing, translating her design DNA into a ready-to-wear proposition. The AW26 collection has been conceived as a wardrobe system: a focused edit of pieces designed to move fluidly through modern life.
"I’m excited to begin this new chapter for the Vera Wang brand with WHP Global and Batra Group, which supports both the legacy I’ve built over the past three decades and the future I continue to imagine," said Vera Wang, Chief Creative Officer. "Together, we will explore new opportunities across categories and markets, while remaining true to the individuality, creativity and distinctive sense of style that have always defined Vera Wang."
The collection arrives at a moment when consumers are investing with greater intention, prioritising longevity, quality and versatility over trend-driven dressing. AW26 responds with a refined offering across tailoring, knitwear and outerwear defined by "movement and restraint". Pricing will range between £270 and £1,350.
"This launch represents a new chapter for both Vera Wang and Batra Group: the brand’s first entry into modern ready-to-wear, and the beginning of Batra Group’s luxury division," said Rajiv Batra, Chairman of Batra Group. "Batra Group’s commitment to Vera Wang is stewardship. This collection is not an expansion of scale, but a refinement of purpose - building a modern ready-to-wear line that feels true to the brand’s authorship. AW26 sets the foundation for a long-term presence in Europe, grounded design integrity."
The collection will be available from 1 May via a dedicated UK and EU site as well as select retail partners.
The ready-to-wear launch also follows a pivotal moment for the brand. In December 2024, Vera Wang sold its intellectual property to New York-based brand management firm WHP Global for an undisclosed sum. As part of the deal, Wang continues in her role as Chief Creative Officer and joined WHP Global as a shareholder, ensuring creative continuity as the brand enters its next phase of growth.
