US "millennial luxury" etailer REVOLVE targets the UK market

US "millennial luxury" etailer REVOLVE is targeting the UK market with a suite of upgraded, "near local" services such as express deliveries and free returns.

Founded in LA in 2003, REVOLVE stocks 500 premium and luxury fashion brands including A.P.C, Frame, Ganni and Needle & Thread. The UK is already its third largest global market accounting for 35% of its European presence.

The business is hoping to expand the market further still with enhanced services now being offered to UK (and EU) customers including express shipping (with improved transit times of between 25% and 55%), free returns, inclusive pricing, and fully enabled Paypal services and APP transactions in local currencies.

Co-founder Michael Mente said: "REVOLVE has emerged globally as the most iconic American fashion brand for the millennial generation. Now it's time to ensure the customer experience globally matches the same world class levels our U.S based consumers have enjoyed for years. The launch of our UK entity is a big step in that direction for all our Western Europe customers."

Mente said the move would not only benefit the customers but would give the brands on the site greater international exposure. The move to offer the enhanced services to the UK and EU follows its offer of free returns to Hong Kong and Australia last year.

The development could also lead to the business opening headquarters in the UK and elsewhere. "With London being the most efficient logistic port in Europe, the brand expects this service level to grow and benefit other parts of the REVOLVE business across the world, with the potential to open headquarters in regions including but not limited to London & Shanghai," REVOLVE said in a statement.
