Urban Outfitters is getting ready to open a new pop-up store at London’s Kings Road, dedicated to a "celebration of summer and design".

Opening from 27 April until the end of summer, the 275 sq ft pop-up will be transformed into a "true Urban Outfitters space" that showcases the retailer's full dress range.

The Summer Dress Shop hopes to attract new consumers looking for the perfect summer fits whilst giving existing customers a different retail experience.

It will feature a range of styles from Urban Outfitters, including its exclusive Light Before Dark collection. The designs have been inspired by modern tailoring, archive silhouettes, vintage fabrications and detailing for "key summer looks".

Malika Zagzoule, Fashion Director at Urban Outfitters, said: “Summer dresses are such a staple in everyone's wardrobe. Whether our customer wears a dress on holiday, in town, to a friend's house or event, Urban Outfitters has something for everyone.

"Our unique approach to designing the dress range has allowed us to organically grow our offering of beautifully crafted garments to a point where it deserves to be celebrated and highlighted in its own way.”

The pop-up adds to the continued expansion of Urban Outfitters in Europe, with three further retail spaces set to open from June 2023.

Last month, Urban Outfitters reported a drop in fourth quarter net sales to £356 million ($426 million), compared to £396 million ($474 million) in the period year period. For the full year, sales decreased to £1.3 billion ($1.5 billion) from £1.4 billion ($1.7 billion) previously.
