Urban Outfitters launches exclusive Farah collection inspired by 70’s archive
Urban Outfitters has collaborated with Farah and “reworked hero pieces” from the brand’s archive, particularly inspired by garments from the 1970’s which were adopted by subcultures.
A key piece is the iconic ‘Ladbroke’ trouser, the original 70’s poly twill “slacks” with angled pockets, in an authentic Farah check design.
Other items include the ‘Maida Tricot’ track top, the ‘Westbourne’ knitted polo, the ‘Acton’ cardigan, reimagined in new colours, and the ‘Holland’ shirt – a re-issue of the 70’s original with brown and beige stripes.
An Urban Outfitters buyer told TheIndustry.fashion: “For this exclusive collaboration we reimagined Farah’s archive to design a collection that feels fresh for today. Farah’s association with music and the prominent subcultures of the 70’s inspired us to recreate iconic styles from the brand’s heritage.”
