UNIQLO confirms second season of JW Anderson collaboration
UNIQLO has today confirmed that it will launch an SS18 collection with JW Anderson following the success of the inaugural AW17 line.
The new collection will once again include items for men and women and will be available at all UNIQLO stores worldwide and through UNIQLO.com.
Founder of JW Anderson, Jonathan Anderson said: “The first UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON collaboration was super exciting for me and I am very happy with the results. I am proud of it and I think the pieces are incredibly well made. The line was also a good bridge between the ideal of British classicism and my own brand."
“The 2018 spring/summer collection is about items that interlink with each other. It's about layering this time. The idea is to mix and match things together and I truly hope you will enjoy it," he added.
The UNQLO JW Anderson collaboration is based around the theme of "British Heritage Meets LifeWear - British classics. Designed for life today." LifeWear is UNIQLO's term for its range of simple, functional and timeless designs, which also combine innovative use of materials.
Anderson is a multi-award-winning designer, hailing from Northern Ireland. He established his own label in 2008 and went on to win the British Fashion Award for emerging talent in 2012. In 2015 he became the only designer to have ever been named both Menswear Designer of the Year and Womenswear Designer of the Year at the same time.
