UNIQLO and Jil Sander returns for AW21 collection
Fashion designer Jil Sander and UNIQLO continue their longstanding partnership with the announcement of their new collaborative AW21 collection.
The range features minimalist, detail-oriented and timeless silhouettes reimagined with signature design elements like loose tailoring, thick fabrics and unique shapes including a duffle coat, padded puffer jacket and a wide range of women's pieces.
“This fall and winter collection focuses on unique styles, comfortable textures and luxurious tailoring in response to our new pursuit of comfort, exquisite design that satisfies everyone,” said Sander in a press release. “This series gives a rich variety of classic winter styles through a new loose-fitting shape and generous tailoring,”
The UNIQLO and Jil Sander's +J collection stretches back to 2009, with the +J line returning in 2020 after a five-year hiatus. Following the highly popular joint SS21 collection, UNIQLO has released a short clip to unveil its upcoming release along with a quote from Jil Sander that reads, "As we close a chapter, I wonder what the future looks like,” which possibly indicates the world of post-pandemic fashion, or the end of the +J collection.
The +J FW21 collection will be available online and in stores on 12 November.
