02 December 2021

TV personality Maya Jama is opening a one-day beauty pop-up salon in Central London, offering free services such as nail art, blow dries and lash extensions as part of the JD Sports’ ‘King of the Streets’ campaign.

The pop-up, called Jama & Drys, will be hosted in collaboration with JD Sports and Adidas. Opening on 8 December only, the salon will offer customers a range of beauty services, with the star herself on-hand to share beauty tips.

Maya Jama said: “Anyone that knows me will tell you I am an absolute beauty addict – I love glam, I love glitter and I obviously really love Christmas so I can’t wait to bring some sparkle to my fans at Jama & Drys. It’s been very exciting getting the salon ready, and I can’t wait to open the doors and meet everyone on Wednesday 8 December.”

Those interested in getting a treatment at the salon can sign up for the opportunity to win a slot on the JD website.

JD Sports' 'Kings of the Streets' Christmas ad transported viewers to a fictitious high street lined with grocery stores, dog groomers and more, prominently showing the J and D trademark on the store signs.

The ad featured a number of youthful celebrities from the music and sport industries, including presenter Maya Jama, singer Ms Banks and rappers Little Simz and Jay1, as well as YouTuber KSI to name a few.

The pop-up salon will be located on 74 Mortimer Street, London, and will be open from 10am to 7pm.
