Truro Retail Park plans rejected

Developers wanting to build a new retail park in Cornwall have expressed disappointment, as planning permission has been refused.

Developers Marsh and Baxter had submitted plans for a retail park at on the outskirts of Truro, but permission was refused by Cornwall Council under new delegated powers.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak there are currently no planning committee meetings being held by Cornwall Council, resulting in planning applications being decided under delegated powers by planning officers.

Cornwall Council planning officers decided to refuse permission saying that they were concerned that the retail park could have a negative impact on Truro city centre.
