Topshop Westfield Stratford to close upon lease expiry

02 January 2020

Topshop will close its store at Westfield Stratford upon expiry of the lease, it has been confirmed.

The two-storey store was opened in September 2011 and its planned closure does not form part of parent company Arcadia's CVA arrangement agreed last year, which led to 23 store closures.

As well as the 23 store closures that formed part of the CVA, a further 25 stores were closed via a separate insolvency procedure and the company also pulled out of the US.

Arcadia recently secured the future of its flagship Topshop and Topman store at Oxford Circus after reaching a refinancing deal on its £310 million mortgage with US private equity firm Apollo Global Management.
