Topshop to head back Down Under in 2026 with relaunch at Myer department stores
Topshop will mark its return to Australia with the launch across all 56 Myer department stores nationwide from February 2026.
It follows on from Topshop’s recent relaunches in the UK, Ireland, France and Denmark, as it looks to get firmly back on the fashion map.
Topshop’s launch collection in Myer will be “built around sharp tailoring, statement outerwear and reworked denim”, alongside wardrobe staples including the brand’s cult-favourite ‘Jamie’ and ‘Joni’ jeans.
Henrik Matthiesen, Brand Director of Topshop, said: “This partnership marks an important milestone as we reintroduce Topshop to the world - and now with Australia on the map.
“Working with Myer allows us to bring our renewed vision to the Australian market with energy, relevance and a stronger connection to how people want to dress today, all while building on Topshop’s iconic British heritage.
“We highly appreciate our cooperation with Myer – to us, they are the perfect partner to launch Topshop within Australia, and we are sure that their strong presence will benefit us as we re-enter the Australian market."
Myer Chief Merchandise Officer, Belinda Slifkas, added: “We are thrilled to welcome one of the most iconic and globally celebrated brands to Myer and we know the London look is popular right across Australia - from Perth to Bondi.
“As we continue to refresh and elevate our womenswear offering with globally relevant, fashion-forward labels, Topshop is the perfect addition to the Myer family.
“We’re seeing a growing number of younger customers choosing Myer, and with Topshop’s arrival, we’re confident this will further strengthen our appeal and deepen our connection with this customer group.”
Following its August launch in Liberty in London – its first UK wholesale relaunch partner – Topshop then announced in early September that it will be returning to the UK high street on a major scale through 32 John Lewis stores from February 2026, while Topman will also be carried by six of its stores.
No doubt driven by demand, it then announced it would be making an early return to the high street with exclusive Christmas pop-ups in select John Lewis stores from 3 November, ahead of its full-scale rollout next year.
John Lewis stores on London’s Oxford Street, as well as locations in Leeds, Liverpool and Bristol, subsequently launched Topshop pop-ups with a curated edit of 30 pieces, refreshed weekly.
At the end of last month, Topshop also revealed it will be staging the world’s first AI-driven shoppable catwalk experience, dubbed 'The Runway to the Future', on 26 February 2026 at THG Studios in Manchester - to be certified by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA).
It aims to “set a new standard for interactive fashion experiences”, with shoppers invited to become co-creators of the show. Using Google Cloud, attendees will be guided through a series of immersive zones.
Along the way, they will witness the future of fulfilment, engage with AI-generated models, and “experience a new era of retail” where every look is instantly shoppable. The experience will be shared with an exclusive guest list of top-tier creators, industry leaders and cultural figures.
Topshop and Topman both relaunched this year following the completion of a joint venture ownership deal between ASOS and Heartland A/S, the investment company of Bestseller owner and ASOS shareholder Anders Holch Povlsen.
A dedicated website for the brands (formerly part of the Arcadia Group until their acquisition by ASOS in 2021) was unveiled earlier this year, while a statement physical catwalk show was staged in Trafalgar Square in London in August.
