Topshop Topman’s Buying Director Emma Fox and Merchandising Director Helen Wilson are reportedly stepping down from the business later this year.

According to a report from Retail Gazette, the two directors are both due to leave the company once they have served the appropriate notice period.

Wilson joined the retailer as Merchandising Director in November 2012 having previously worked as Merchandise Director of Arcadia Group's Wallis between 2009 and 2012. Fox worked at the retailer from 1996 to 2011, and rejoined from 2015 until 2020.

The retailer’s Senior Buyer, Cath Taylor and Head of Buying, Jo Gunner have been promoted to Buying Directors covering separate product areas.

In December 2019, Topshop's parent company Arcadia Group revealed that it would be able to keep its flagship store on London’s Oxford Circus after completing a £310m refinancing of its mortgage.

December also saw the announcement of the departure of Topshop CEO Paul Price, who left to relocate back to America for personal reasons.

It is unknown if the departures are linked to parent company Arcadia’s CVA arrangement agreed last year that sees 23 Topshop Topman stores closing, with a further 25 stores being closed via a separate insolvency procedure.
