'Topshop is back' launching site with Cara Delevingne collection
Back in the 2010s, Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne reigned supreme in Topshop's classically British campaigns. Now, with the return of its standalone website and high street presence, the brand is teaming up with Delevingne once again.
The partnership kicks off with a curated 30-piece edit designed in collaboration with Delevingne, which will be available exclusively on Topshop.com from 16 August. This marks not just the launch of the new collection, but the long-anticipated return of Topshop as a standalone online destination, following its acquisition by ASOS in 2021.
You may remember Cara Delevingne's first stint featuring in Topshop's campaign in 2010. By 2014, she starred as the solo face of Topshop's Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign, making history as the first ever single-model campaign from the brand.
Delevingne said: "As a London girl, Topshop was the place where fashion felt fun, fearless, and full of possibilities. Coming back to Topshop now is more than a return – it’s about starting something new. This collection is about owning your style, your story, and feeling empowered to express that every day."
Shot by Bartek Szmigulski and styled by Justin Hamilton, the campaign was lensed in East London - grounding the collection in the city that shaped both the brand and Delevingne herself. Hair was styled by Issac Poleon with makeup by Kelly Cornwell.
The A/W25 edit channels Delevingne’s signature style with strong silhouettes, sharp tailoring and a fresh take on denim classics. Pieces include a black-and-white faux shearling coat, an '80s-inspired PU jacket with a cinched waist, and updated versions of Topshop's cult Joni and Jamie jeans. A largely monochrome palette is punctuated with rich avocado green, lending seasonal depth.
"Cara is the perfect embodiment of the Topshop spirit - bold, creative, and unapologetically herself," said Michelle Wilson, Topshop Managing Director. "This partnership is more than a campaign; it’s a statement of intent as we reintroduce Topshop to the world. We’re bringing together cultural relevance, design credibility, and a new energy that speaks to how people want to dress today."
The collaboration with Delevingne doesn’t end with this launch. A full capsule collection is already in development for the 2026/27 season, built around shared values of sustainability, inclusivity and high-quality design.
As one of the UK’s most iconic fashion names makes its return, the message is clear "Topshop is back".
This follows yesterday's news when the retailer unveiled that it'll be adding Printempts, Magasin and McElhinneys to its list of stockists.
A spokesperson for Topshop told TheIndustry.fashion: "Topshop is already stocked on ASOS and Nordstrom, we’re delighted to confirm we will stock in a range of partners across Europe and Rest of World territories, including Printempts, Magasin and McElhinneys."
"Topshop and Topman will also return to UK stores for AW25 via a partner, still to be announced. Watch this space."
