Tom Ford plays on the art of seduction for SS26 at Paris Fashion Week show
“Seduction is a dialogue, ignited by a gaze” reads the press release for Tom Ford’s SS26 show at Paris Fashion Week yesterday, 1 October.
The theme is “fragilities that win over and the emergence of hints of something dark underneath”, such as a flash of skin through slits or lace, or a leather bra that “peeks” through a shirt.
Key looks for women include a pink shirt unbuttoned to the waist paired with a black mid-length skirt with a centre split, and shiny belted coats with stand-up collars in various shades, including silver. There’s also revealing monochrome evening wear with lace trims.

Androgynous looks were evident too, with both male and female models taking to the runway in matching shiny blue double-breasted suits with overly long wide leg trousers touching the floor.
The models, both male and female, sported slicked-back hair in a nod to the models in the video for Robert Palmer’s mid-80s hit ‘Addicted to Love’.
There was also a brown leather two-piece consisting of an overshirt/shacket and straight leg trousers that could be for both men and women, as could a stone coloured shacket with matching wide leg track pants.
For men, Tom Ford also took ‘short’ shorts to ever decreasing lengths, so best not to miss ‘leg day’ at the gym for those willing to go for the look for real next summer.
On another note, Kate Moss and Rita Ora were spotted walking in hand-in-hand into the star-studded show. They seemed to grab the headlines more than the actual collection.
