TK Maxx has signed a deal to open a new store in the extensive former Debenhams space at Westfield London

The upcoming 30,000 sq ft store is reportedly one of four branches set to launch in the UK this year, with the Westfield store set to open in autumn.

“Plans for this exciting 30,000 square foot space are well underway and we’ll be working round the clock to bring West London customers our unique mix of incredible products at amazing prices," a spokesperson told the Evening Standard.

TK Maxx already occupies a variety of stores across London, situated at popular locations including Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Charing Cross, Camden, High Street Kensington, Brixton, and Westfield Stratford.

Last month, TJX Companies reported a 3% increase in net sales to £41.4 billion ($49.9 billion) for the year ending 28 January 2023, revealing "strong" performance from apparel and accessories. TJX International, including Europe and Australia, saw net sales rise 8% to £5.1 billion ($6.2 billion) against the prior year.

During the FY23, the company increased its overall store count by 146 stores to 4,835 stores. In Europe, TK Maxx jumped from 618 to 629 stores and Homesense from 77 to 78 stores.

The news follows a number of recent openings at Westfield London, including Sephora earlier this month. The 6,000+ sq ft space showcases "an exceptional assortment of products and personal services" and "next generation retail design features" for UK consumers to discover.

Kate Orwin, Leasing Director UK at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: "More exciting signings will soon be unveiled for this part of the centre as we continue to transform our spaces and bring customers the best retail, dining and leisure mix.”
