New York-based jeweller Tiffany & Co. has appointed Cartier veteran Nathalie Verdeille as Vice President, Artistic Director of Jewellery.

According to reports, Verdeille, who has been Creative Director for Jewellery at Cartier since 2005, will lead the core jewellery category at LVMH's Tiffany & Co from later this year.

Verdeille has previously worked with LVMH, leading high jewellery design at Chaumet from 2001 to 2005. In her new position she will report to Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President, Product and Communications.

In an internal note published by WWD, Arnault said: “Nathalie is an accomplished and renowned designer in the jewellery industry and joins us with an impressive portfolio of work.”

“In this new role, Nathalie will be responsible for leading the creative vision for our jewellery and high jewellery designs. She will lead the design team and work closely with cross-functional partners as well as the regions and markets to ensure flawless innovation, design, product prototyping, and follow-up and alignment with the overall product strategy.”

In October 2020, Tiffany and Co. agreed to a takeover offer from LVMH.
