ThruDark unveils pop-up at Battersea Power Station
Special Forces-inspired brand ThruDark has opened a pop-up store at Battersea Power Station, set to run until 11 January 2026.
Located in Turbine Hall B on the Upper Ground level of the shopping centre, the store is now showcasing the brand’s high-performance clothing and equipment, including the latest new releases from Mountain Pro to everyday carry luggage.
ThruDark was founded in 2018 by former UK Special Forces operators Anthony “Staz” Stazicker CGC and Louis Tinsley, first producing a bespoke summit suit for mountaineering before launching a limited range of cold-weather expedition gear.
Louis Tinsley, who experienced 14 years of distinguished and decorated service (eight years with the UK Special Forces), said: “Opening at Battersea Power Station marks a significant moment for ThruDark. It’s a premium, world-class destination right in the heart of London - the perfect environment to showcase our products, tell our story and meet our community face to face.
“For us, this isn’t just about retail space, it’s a test case for what the future of ThruDark’s bricks and mortar could look like. We’ve always believed that people need to feel and experience the quality and purpose behind every piece - Battersea gives us the opportunity to bring that to life.”
All of ThruDark’s technical products are tested personally in real world conditions by its founders, using their combined 28 years of military experience.
ThruDark previously had a pop-up space in Selfridges in Birmingham in 2023, and in August 2025, it launched a resale platform called ‘Resurgence’ for buying and selling pre-owned ThruDark garments.
The platform is described as “a brand mission to repair, repurpose and redeploy” - all traits the co-founders utilised during their time in the Special Forces, from sewing socks into sleeve cuffs to reinforcing knees with tent fabric.
