The Shop at Bluebird, the concept store that forms part of the Jigsaw group, is to close its doors for good this week.

Started 15 years ago by Belle and John Robinson, co-founders of Jigsaw, it began life above the Bluebird Cafe on the King's Road and offered a mix of designer fashion and lifestyle items.

In May 2018 it moved to a new home in Covent Garden in the impressive surroundings of Carriage Hall where it stocked labels including Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Peter Pilotto, Victoria Beckham, Racil, Galvan, Temperley London and Ports 1961 among others.

Its website has been holding a clearance sale and in an Instagram post the retailer encouraged shoppers to visit its store for one final time.

The Shop at Bluebird brand vision had undergone a revamp under buying director Claire Miles while the new store was created by leading retail design agency Dalziel & Pow.

News of the store's closure follows reports that Jigsaw has been negotiating with landlords for up to 30% rent reductions across its portfolio of stores.
