The London Fashion Week pop-up inviting you to renew your clothing
This London Fashion Week, Dylon Detergent is hosting a pop-up championing circular fashion. Here, in the heart of Covent Garden, the British public are invited to revive their wardrobe favourites, giving them a new lease of life.
Part of the London Fashion Week City Wide Celebration, the‘Rethink New Laundrette’ pop-up at 28 Henrietta Street will run from Thursday 20 February to Sunday 23 February. The pop-up’s aim? To get visitors to rethink the concept of ‘new’ by revamping their existing wardrobe.
Through a series of masterclasses - hosted by renowned experts from the sustainable fashion world from Shakaila Forbes-Bell to Andrea Cheong - guests will learn new skills that they can use to renew their pre-loved fashion staples.
Sessions include:
- Renew 101: Master essential sewing, fixing, and darning techniques.
- Bagged It!: Transform unwanted clothing into a stylish wash bag.
- Embroidery: Add personalised flair to your wardrobe with unique embroidery.
For each masterclass, which will last approximately 1.5 hours, all you need to bring with you is one item of clothing from your wardrobe that you want to renew, all other materials will be provided.
In addition to masterclasses, people are invited to drop in any time for the chance to win special prizes and discover easy ways to personalise their existing wardrobe with embroidery.
Entry to the launderette is free, meanwhile, masterclass tickets are £7.50, with proceeds donated to the British Fashion Council Foundation. Click here for 'Rethink New Laundrette' tickets.
