The Dressing Room celebrated a decade in business on Sunday and to commemorate the monumental occasion, founder Deryane Tadd invited a number of her most loyal customers to join her in raising a glass. The party culminated in the designer fashion store’s busiest trading day on record, with people queuing round the block just to get inside.
Known for putting on flawless in-store events, naturally The Dressing Room’s birthday was nothing less than perfect – and trust us, there was no expense spared, no detail left behind. We loved the birthday cake, baked to look exactly like one of The Dressing Room’s signature shopping bags. The window display was also a sight to be seen, decked out with giant golden ‘Happy Birthday’ balloons and key pieces from the Spring/Summer 2015 season.
“The event was an amazing success, resulting in our busiest ever trading day to date and all crammed into just five hours of trading,” explained Industry member, Deryane. “Customers were queuing around the block for the store to open and were given a great party with discounts, amazing goody bags, an in-store DJ, birthday cake and drinks plus Flash Tattooing throughout the day. We also had some fab competitions and raffles going on too.”
Deryane also celebrated with her fellow fashion industry peers, hosting a VIP blogger tea party at the St Albans based boutique on the Thursday beforehand. Widely considered one of the retail industry’s most successful privately-owned boutiques outside of London, The Dressing Room has secured resounding levels of industry recognition over the years, including numerous awards from London’s definitive fashion tradeshow, Pure London and trade publication, Drapers. “With many awards and accolades achieved over 10 years of trading, The Dressing Room continues to go from strength to strength and we look forward to another exciting decade,” adds Deryane.
Another 10 years in the industry? We’d bet our bottom dollar on it. Happy birthday, The Dressing Room!
