The Cambridge Satchel Company opens Carnaby Street store

The Cambridge Satchel Company has today opened a new store at 56 Carnaby Street, London.

Customers visiting the new shop, which features bright and bold use of colour and contemporary fixtures, can choose from The Cambridge Satchel Company’s much loved leather satchel range, alongside new additions to the brand’s family of British-made styles including "The Bowls Bag", which launched in June 2021.

Taking inspiration from the genteel summer sport of Crown green bowls, The Bowls Bag features a unique cylindrical shape, magnetic closures disguised as traditional buckles, and is available in six colourways.

The Carnaby Street store will also present the brand’s premium collection of bags, "The Doctor" and "The Sophie", in addition to a selection of small leather goods including the brand’s signature cat and dog keyring charms. A complete embossing service across all relevant products will also be offered at the new store.

Julie Deane, Founder and CEO of The Cambridge Satchel Company, said: “The past 18 months has been such a challenge for so many people, and for countless reasons. So, when we had the opportunity to open a store on Carnaby Street, a shopping destination long associated with energy, excitement and London, we jumped at the chance.”

Deane launched The Cambridge Satchel Company from her kitchen table in 2008. Now a global name available in over 150 countries, the brand is committed to supporting British manufacturing. The satchels, handbags and accessories are “lovingly handcrafted” by a team of skilled leather specialists in the company’s Leicester-based factory.
