The British high street isn’t dying, it’s becoming more relevant

There is a riddle that asks what is being described here: “Often talked about, never seen; ever coming, never been; daily looked for, never here”…and so on. What is it?

Well – spoiler alert – the answer is “tomorrow”.

But it might as well be “the death of the high street”.

I don’t think there has ever been a story that has lingered quite as long, but so stubbornly refused to happen.
