Ted Baker's new golf range launches today

Premium fashion and lifestyle brand Ted Baker's new golfwear range goes on sale today, which it vows will shake up the sport's stuffy image.

The collection, which combines technical fabrics with contemporary styling, will be available online and at specialist golf retailers, including Scottsdale. Prices start from £69 shirts, with sweaters at £95 and a waterproof jacket at £279.

Ted Baker founder Ray Kelvin said the collection was designed to take golfers from the course to the bar in style. "[...] when you think of golf you tend to think of old generals smoking pipes and cigars so we are going to save people from that," he told The Times.

Yesterday the brand defied tough conditions in the market by posting a 16.4% rise in revenues for 2016. Group revenues hit £531m in the 52 weeks ending 28 January (2016: £456.2m), while pre-tax profits were up 4.4% at £61.3m.
