Ted Baker to open store at Basingstoke’s Festival Place

Ted Baker has signed a 10-year lease on a 3,300 sq ft store at Basingstoke’s Festival Place shopping centre, though it is as yet unconfirmed when the store will launch.

Ted Baker will be joining H&M, Next, Superdry, Jack Wills, Jack & Jones, River Island and Fat Face at Festival Place, and the new ground floor store will carry Ted Baker’s full range of womenswear, menswear and accessories.

The shopping centre launched in 2002 and was acquired by property company AEW in 2015.

Simon Barrett, Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at AEW, said: “The opening of a Ted Baker store at Festival Place is a great endorsement for the transformation that has taken place at the centre under AEW’s leadership and will complement the varying needs of Festival Place’s guests.

“The fact that Ted Baker is joining the scheme and that other brands have recently renewed their leases is very encouraging and testifies to our proactive approach to asset management.”

Festival Place has had more than 25 new leases/lease renewals agreed in the last 18 months, including H&M, Monsoon Accessorize, Skechers and Laser Clinics.
