Swedish eyewear brand Chimi collaborates with Rotate for 70s glamour collection
Swedish minimalist eyewear brand Chimi has joined forces with Copenhagen-based partywear brand Rotate for a limited-edition eyewear capsule that channels 70s glamour, featuring sculptural frames with sleek, glossy surfaces.
The sunglasses were first seen on the Rotate spring/summer 2026 runway during Copenhagen Fashion Week.
The capsule reinterprets Chimi's familiar shapes through Rotate's lens of glamour, combining a retro spirit with modern execution.
The capsule features 11 styles, including a graphic cat-eye style, metal aviator frames, squared-angled frames, a rectangular oval frame, a rimless square silhouette and a pilot aviator style - all available in multiple colourways.
"Sunglasses are the easiest way to transform a look," said Jeanette and Thora, co-founders and Creative Directors of Rotate. "They add confidence, glamour and a sense of character in a second. With this collection we focused on bold silhouettes that feel strong but effortless to wear."
The Chimi design team added: "We wanted to explore what would happen when Copenhagen ’party’ glamour borrows a pair of seriously good sunglasses. Bold, playful and just a little dramatic - made for late nights and bright mornings. For us at Chimi, it’s about confidence, clarity and a little extra attitude."
All frames are handcrafted in acetate and lightweight metal, while the lenses feature 100% UVA and UVB protection. The capsule collection is available at both Rotate and Chimi online, and in selected retailers worldwide, with prices ranging from £165–£270.
Last summer, Chimi and Stockholm-based skincare brand Narcyss came together for a skincare-eyewear collaboration to offer its audience "full facial protection" - including sunglasses and SPF products.
