Swaine to launch dedicated retail space in Harrods
British luxury accessories brand Swaine, formerly Swaine Adeney Brigg which was acquired by French textiles house Chargeurs Group in 2020, is launching a dedicated retail space in Harrods on 27 June.
To be located in the Menswear Designer Collections room in the Knightsbridge department store, the new space will present a curated edit of the brand’s signature pieces across leather goods, umbrellas and headwear, each handmade using traditional techniques in the UK.
Taking centre stage will be the ‘New Bond Attache’, the ‘Whitehall Briefcase’, the ‘Kensington’ laptop bag and the ‘Mayfair’ document case, alongside handcrafted umbrellas, small leather goods, caps and hats.
Carine de Koenigswarter, Chairman and CEO of Swaine, said: "Opening at Harrods is an exciting milestone for Swaine and a continuation of our strategy to reestablish the brand across globally respected luxury destinations."
Yasmin Mehmet, Buying Manager at Harrods, added: "We are delighted to welcome Swaine to the Men’s Designer Collections room at Harrods. With its rich British heritage and dedication to craftsmanship, the brand is a natural addition for our customers who appreciate timeless style and enduring quality."
The new Harrods space will complement Swaine’s 7,000 sq ft flagship store at 126-127 New Bond Street, which opened in March 2023, at the time described as "the centrepiece of its most radical rebrand in 273 years".
Swaine, which was established in 1750 as whip and saddlery makers, also has a smaller boutique at 18-19 Burlington Arcade in London’s Mayfair.
