Superdry has confirmed it will relocate its London flagship store after early termination of the lease on its Regent Street store.

The location closed earlier this month, having first opened in December 2011. Superdry is now considering a number of locations in the capital, with a number of empty units on Oxford Street being considered.

The company previously reported it was “substantially impacted” by COVID-19 disruption which resulted in store closures for large periods of the year.

The fashion retailer reported a 0.8% increase in revenues to £118.3 million for the three months to 24 April 2021.

However, it also revealed that total sales for the past year tumbled by 21% to £556.6 million after being weighed down by the pandemic.

A spokesperson told TheIndustry.fashion: "Superdry can confirm that it is relocating its London flagship, and has agreed terms with the landlord to surrender its lease on the Regent Street store.

"We remain totally committed to London and are in advanced talks on securing a new West End store which will be a global flagship for the brand, showcasing our new ranges and reflecting our commitment to sustainability."
